Latin Expression also known as Expresión Latina, is not a new group in the salsa environment, this tremendous orchestra is recognized among lovers of salsa genre and was formed in the city of Seattle in May 1986 by composer and singer Francisco "Papo" Medina, in collaboration with his son, Jr. Medina, Ted Bowden, Dennis Haldane and along with other talented musicians, the orchestra El ensueño de Papo Medina.

Latin Expression also known as Expresión Latina, is not a new group in the salsa environment, this tremendous orchestra is recognized among lovers of salsa genre and was formed in the city of Seattle in May 1986 by composer and singer Francisco "Papo" Medina, in collaboration with his son, Jr. Medina, Ted Bowden, Dennis Haldane and along with other talented musicians, the orchestra El ensueño de Papo Medina.

Today this group of 12 pieces is composed of vocalists, winds, a rhythm and percussion section.

This combination has turned Latin Expression into a powerful Latin orchestra achieving performances from Canada to Los Angeles filling halls, clubs, dance floors always delighting the dancer and large crowds at festivals.

In 1997, Papo Medina and his Orchestra released their first CD entitled Realidad under the Tocolo Música label. His production, which was nominated for a NAMA Award, featured eight original compositions, including fan-favorite songs, Realidad and Aléjate.2005 brought something highly anticipated for the group; the release of the production entitled 9 Días de Rumba, which was recorded in Medellín, Colombia. It was produced by Papo Medina with musical arrangements and direction by Orlando Libreros. It includes the special participation of Diego and Jaime Gallé, who inject the perfect amount of Colombian flavor to that majestic force of Puerto Rican salsa.

This album, which includes 11 songs, was designed for dancers and salsa lovers alike.Latin Expression was once described as "The best kept secret of Northwest sauce", it is no longer a secret. With the international release of the album 9 Días de Rumba, the secret is already out.2019 Papo Medina returns with the record production "Nunca Es Tarde" that had been working since 2017 where it has the exciting theme "La Rumba De Papo" that even to this date continues to delight salsa dancers.
